Faculty:

The faculty at Williamsburg Northside Preschool is made up of a talented and nurturing group of people. Each classroom has one Head Teacher and 1-2 Co-Teachers depending on the ratio of the class. The Head Teacher has a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, while most have a Master's Degree or are pursuing a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education. The Co-teachers all have extensive experience in early childhood education. All team members collaborate together to create a cohesive and joyful classroom.

In addition to classroom teachers, we also have an Art teacher and Music teacher who provide enrichment programming for our students. These specialists are experienced in their given areas of expertise and provide an alternate mode of expression for the children outside the classroom as well as a way to compliment the work within the classroom. Our teachers are selected carefully and their individual styles are celebrated. We share a common vision that is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to learning. Therefore, our teachers seek out learning opportunities together as well as individually whenever possible as well as taking time to reflect with and offer feedback to colleagues.

Staff:

To support the faculty and families in our school, there are many wonderful and involved administrative and support personnel who are equally invested in the success of your children. From the main office staff to the maintenance department, to admissions to curriculum development, you will find that your children will come to know them all by name. To echo and build upon the collaboration demonstrated by the teaching teams, the support staff works directly with the faculty to provide interconnected services to our students and families.
